Asin signed a movie starring Neil Nitin Mukesh!

Earlier the actress had set out on B-town journey with a determination that she will share the screen only with exclusive stars like the Khans and Hrithik Roshan. Moreover, she had even rejected film offers which had current young screen heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan….

However of late, the industry is abuzz that Asin has allegedly signed a movie, starring Neil Nitin Mukesh. Titled ‘Pocketmaar’, the film will be helmed by Ravi Chopra.

Grapevines reveal that something is brewing between the two actors and both seems to be feeling quite comfortable in each others company.

Some also say that ‘Pocketmaar’ was initially offered to several leading actresses, but due to certain issues they rejected the film and it landed in Asin’s court.

Well, now one can expect clarification reports tumbling from the concerned parties…. But till then one can be assured that Asin is here to stay in Bollywood gossip columns for sure…

Deepika got a new marriage proposal!

It wasn't the perfect setting for a romantic proposal, but a young Delhi boy dared to pop the question to actress Deepika Padukone when she came to a mall here Tuesday to promote her film 'Lafangey Parindey'.

The youth went down on his knees, looked at the Bollywood beauty and asked: 'Will you marry me?'

 

Deepika, who was accompanied by her co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh, seemed baffled by the sudden, unexpected proposal. But she was quick to respond.

 

'I am not ready for marriage yet,' replied Deepika, who looked lovely in a sari. But the youth wasn't willing to give up so easily. 'But I am ready for you,' he said.

 

Deepika, who is rumoured to be dating liquor baron Vijay Mallya's son Siddharth, brushed the whole incident with a laugh. Both the actors were in a fun mood and mingled with the huge crowd that had gathered in the south Delhi mall to catch a glimpse of the stars at the event organised by DT Cinemas.

 

Neil's father, singer Nitin Mukesh, was present at the event and he sang his father Mukesh's evergreen song 'Kisiki muskurahaton pe...' for the crowd. Even Neil and Deepika gave in to the requests of their fans by doing a casual dance to 'Dhatad tatad', a popular song from 'Lafangey Parindey', which releases Friday.

 

The film will have Neil playing a boxer who fights blindfolded, and Deepika will be seen as a visually challenged girl who can dance on skates.

Be it his first director Sriram Raghavan, who could not convince Neil to kiss Rimi Sen, or his second film, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, director Sudhir Mishra where Neil was asked to kiss Shahana Goswami and then again his director for ‘Jail’ where the actor refused to lock lips with Mugdha Godse even during a passionate love making scene- all his directors failed to convince Neil to do the act.

 

However, Pradeep Sarkar, the director of ‘Lafangey Parindey’, made his point clear to Neil that he had to smooch Deepika Padukone for the film as per the demand of the script. Well, so Neil would now be seen smooching Deepika in ‘LP’, and how, we have the little birdie informing us that the lip-lock surely is pretty long and intense. A source from the set said it was a long, torrid smooch comparable in intensity and duration to any sensational smooch scene so far. And guess what! Neil was nervous!

Lafangey Parindey Movie Stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone. Neil has worked with Yash Raj in New York and Deepika Padukone in Bachana Ae Haseeno.



Both signed the movie last year, but only found the time of shooting the film now. Pradeep Sarkar’s Parineeta was acclaimed, but continued with the dud Chunri Mein Daag Laga.
“The new film will be about a social issue seriously? Your name could be a sign of it. “Lafangey Parindey is the title of my film with Pradeep Sarkar,” confirms that the actor Neil.
