Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are fighting for MMKR!

According to sources, Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are fighting for the remake rights of Kamal Haasan's comedy entertainer Michael Madana Kama Rajan (MMKR). In Michael Madana Kama Rajan, which redefined the comedy genre in Tamil cinema, Kamal Haasan played four different roles: Micheal, Madan, Kama and Rajan. The film narrated a series of interesting events in the life of a quadruplets separated just after birth. The movie was directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao; Kamal had also written and produced it.

The latest buzz is that film maker Farah Khan (of Om Shanti Om fame) is planning to remake the film with Salman Khan, while director Priyadarshan wants to rope in Akshay Kumar for the same film.

Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif coming together

So, finally we have Salman Khan working for the Yash Raj banners and that too, opposite Katrina Kaif, her ex-flame. The film is titled ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and is being directed by Kabir Khan. The movie happens to be an out and out masal film with the right mix of romance and action.

The idea for the script came from Aditya Chopra and soruces also say that it is based on a true story. Salman Khan admits that he is thrilled to be associated with Yash Raj films and his association with the banner stems from the days when his father Salim Khan worked with Yash Chopra in many of blockbusters such as the Deewar in 1975. Before this film, Salman had also been offered the lead in ‘Chak De India’ but unfortunately he could not make it because of date issues.

Also, his breakup with Katrina Kaif will pose no problem for the two working together as the big hearted hero is still all praise for her. He says, “Katrina and I get along well. She’s a lovely girl and one of my closest friends. There’s nothing better than working with someone who is part of my family.”

Must say here, Salman Khan is as great a person as an actor!!

Salman Khan signed for 17.5 crore!

A banner that has bargained with everyone from Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan to Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, never agreeing to pay the Bollywood superstars their full market price has just had to bow to Salman Khan.

A source says, “This banner is desperate to work with Salman Khan. For their spy thriller, that will be shot in at least seven foreign locations, they have apparently signed him for 17.5 crore plus a share in the profits”.

Salman Khan has been getting even better remuneration from many of his other producers. However this price is the highest price paid to an actor by this banner.

Our source clarifies, “Aamir Khan who has worked with this banner in the past and who is working with them again in 2012 is also getting a lucrative price and has a profit sharing arrangement. However it is Salman’s ability to be able to knock out money from these guys which is now the talking point of Naaz Building (Bollywood Stock Exchange)”.

Incidentally, Ranbir Kapoor who has done two films for this production house in the past has allegedly told the scion of this film empire that for their next project he wants a full bound script and his full market price which is around 15 crore.

Looks like after Salman’s case, actors will start re-negotiating with this banner.

Salman Khan Upcoming Movie 'Ready'!

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film has Salman Khan and Asin in the lead roles. Salman Khan joins hands with director Anees Bazmee for their latest film titled as Ready. Asin is paired opposite Salman Khan in the film and Ready is their second film together after London Dreams.



Bollywood film 'Ready' is a remake of the 2008 Telugu super hit film of the same name. The film tells the story of Prem (Salman Khan), a successful businessman who mistakenly kidnaps Sanjanna (Asin), while trying to help his friend in kidnapping his girlfriend. Love blossoms between the two but trouble comes in the form of Sanjanna's uncles.



Film 'Ready' will be release on June 3, 2011. It is comedian film. The rest of the story revolves around Prem trying to convince Sanjanna's family for their marriage. Salman acting with popular Tamil actress Asin.

Ready features Paresh Rawal, Arya Babbar and Mahesh Manjrekar in supporting roles while Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Kangana Ranaut, Zarine Khan and Arbaaz Khan will make cameo appearances.



Ready is jointly produced by Rajat Rawail, Bhushan Kumar, Nitin Manmohan, Kishan Kumar and Sohail Khan. Pritam has scored the music while cinematography is handled by P. C. Sriram.

Asin denies rumours

Actress Asin has refused the recent press news that she has done a ‘lip-lock’ with Bollywood’s Salman Khan in their upcoming film titled ‘Ready’.  She has also denied reports that she has starred in a ‘bed-room’ sequence with -bachelor Khan and that this particular sequence would be the USP of the film.

Asin’s Bollywood record is 50:50 so far: she has had a superhit opening in Hindi films with ‘Ghajini’ and then an utter failure in ‘London Dreams’ opposite top guns Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan.  Incidentally, ‘Ready’ would be her second film with Salman Khan in two years and she also ran into big trouble for visiting the neighbouring Lanka to shoot for the film’s sequences last year.

The reports, which have infuriated Asin to no end, said that Asin and Salman had become ‘so close’ to each other and their new-found proximity to each other is reflected in the sequences they have shot together for the film.  Setting the record straight, Asin says that “From time to time, there have been rumours about me appearing in the press.  This time, they appear to have gone over-board.

“I don’t need to star in such sequences to sustain my career in Hindi films.  I haven’t done so till now and would never do that in future too.  “Ready is a family-oriented entertainer and as such, the script doesn’t warrant any smooching sequences.  I would like to clarify that I have neither donned the bikini nor starred in any bed-room sequences, as reported by a section of the media,” she concludes.

Salman is a good friend of hers, she says and adds that he took very good care of her when she fell ill while filming the climax sequences of ‘Ready’.

Aamir Khan is not alone in his impatience for the day when Salman Khan decides to tie the knot. Sallu’s many fans are no less eager to see the superstar wedded.

On Aamir’s birthday on Monday, when the actor was quizzed if it was a big day for him, he said the big day for him would be the one when Salman gets married.

“I am waiting for Salman’s wedding and the day he weds that will be biggest day for me,” Aamir told reporters.

Aamir and Salman are known to be very close friends. After the premiere of Dabangg, Aamir was lavish in his praises for the film and particularly Salman’s acting in it. Even at Imran Khan’s wedding reception, Salman stood shoulder to shoulder with Aamir as the duo greeted the guests.

Salman too has been outspoken in praising Aamir. After the release of Peepli [Live], Salman called Aamir the man with the Midas Touch.

She started her career with a film opposite Shahrukh Khan. The Om Shanti Om gal Deepika Padukone is always keen to romance big stars on screen!

That was the reason why she recently quit a big Bollywood project and lapped up the golden chance to work with the superstar Rajinikanth in his next. Now on her wishlist is Salman Khan.

Ramesh Taurani of Tips is again teaming up with Rajkumar Santoshi for the film Ladies And Gentleman and Deepika is the one who might get paired up with the movie’s main lead Salman Khan. As per sources, Deepika might even cut down her fee for this project; money is not the issue.

Asin loves to work with Salman!

For her upcoming Hindi film 'Ready', Asin has pretty much found herself in a position where she is one of the few trusted co-stars that Salman Khan boasts of. This is not the first time though that Salman has been ever so caring about a co-star of his. Even earlier, whenever Salman has caught fancy of his co-star and extended a friendly hand, he has gone all out to ensure that everything about him or her is taken care of.

"That's right. Asin has become further fond of Salman in last one year," a senior unit member from 'Ready' confirms, "Since after 'London Dreams' they are working together in 'Ready' again, they are spending a lot of quality time together. This has resulted in a very good bond between the two."

Another reason behind this good bonding is the fact that Asin too found a comfortable co-star in Salman.

"Whether it was Aamir in 'Ghajini' or Salman in 'London Dreams' and now 'Ready', I didn't have to make any changes to adapt to their working style," says Asin, "They made me feel really comfortable. I was free to do things the way I wanted to do because Aamir is very chilled out and he goes about his own job without interfering. Same is true with Salman. He doesn't come to you and tell you how you should be approaching your character. This is why it is so cool working with him."

Salman, Shahrukh Avoid Each Other At Imran’s Reception

There were little spots of tension on the evening of Imran Khan and Avantika Malik’s wedding reception hosted by Maamujaan Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao. After all, it was touted that Aamir would play mediator between expected guests Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan and get the two to patch up on this special night.

But alas, that was not to happen. Salman Khan reached the venue at about 11:45, sporting a jacket on top of his ‘Being Human’ t-shirt. Salman Khan walked in with brother Sohail Khan.

Apparently, Salman made a quick exit and that too from the back gate. Salman’s exit from the event happened way before Shahrukh Khan’s entry. SRK attended the event with wife Gauri Khan. They came in late night around 2:30 am.

So a patch up between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan at this do was just not possible, though many a well wisher of the two Khans was hopeful that the hatchet would be buried, courtesy host Aamir.

We guess, we will have to wait for another celebration of this magnitude for such magic to happen.

Miss Universe 2010 to romance Salman!

Miss Universe 2010 Jimena Navarrete who is an ardent fan of Bollywood hunk Salman Khan is going to make Bollywood debut in David Dhawan’s new film, ‘Partner 2’ opposite Salman.

The Mexican beauty is on a 10 day tour to India to promote designer Sanjana Jon's Celebrate The Girl Child Campaign. A reliable industry source reveals, "Jimena will romance Salman Khan in the Partner sequel. The makers were looking for the female lead in the film and felt that Jimena fits the bill but she will have to learn Hindi and some Bollywood dance moves for her role.

The model recently met Salman and has already started taking lessons in Hindi. The New York-based fashion designer Sanjana Jon will style her clothes for the film.

Sanjana, who is close to both Salman and Jimena, has been instrumental in making this happen." Ximena in an interview said that she is a huge fan of Salman Khan and also expressed her desire to work in Bollywood.

It would be a treat to watch Salman romancing a bedesi girl.
