She won the 2004, Filmfare Sensational Debut Award for her performance in Tarzan:TheWonder Car and Dil Maange More. She is a Mumbaite and comes from a mixed family. Sridevi comes forward to promote ‘Wanted’

Bollywood’s sultry actress, Sridevi, was last seen in the 1999 Malayalam movie ‘Devaraagam’. Sri also made an exception for the sake of Salman with whom she featured in a number of projects including ‘Chandramukh’” and ‘Chand Ka Tukda’. The last Hindi film she acted in was 1997 release ‘Kaun Sachcha Kaun Jhootha’. Since then the beauty has been missing the action and the spotlight.

It is again Salman who has managed to bring her out of the shell by making her appear in one of the episodes of the game show, ‘Dus ka Dum’, which will be aired on Sony TV this Saturday. The actress has done this favor to promote her husband’s forthcoming movie, ‘Wanted’ and will be accompanied by husband Boney Kapoor. Supreme Court Allowed Salman Khan’s Wanted Release

The Supreme Court Wednesday allowed film producer Boney Kapoor to release his Salman Khan-starrer “Wanted” on Sep 18.

A bench of Justice B.N. Agrawal allowed Kapoor to release the film after he offered to deposit Rs.2 crore with the Bombay High Court as security amount in a dispute on an advance he had  taken from LMB Holdings, a B4U group company.

Prabhu Deva: Directing a Hindi movie is tough

 

Pokkiri was a money spinner in Tamil. Now the Hindi remake Wanted, starring Salman Khan and Ayesha Taika in lead roles, is ready for release. Prabhu Deva, who directed the Tamil version, has also directed the Hindi version.

Directing the Hindi version (the first Hindi film he has directed) was a difficult proposition, says Prabhu Deva. He felt that the pressure factor was more. "The expectations of these audiences are much higher and one have to cater to a wider range of cultures," revealed Prabhu Deva on his first big test in Hindi.

What or who was responsible for the delay in releasing Wanted? Prabhu said he did not want to blame anyone for the delay. Praising the lead pair, he said, "Keeping the tastes of Hindi audiences in mind, I made a lot of changes from the original in th song and comedy sequences. Directing a talented dancer like Ayesha and the cooperative Salman Khan made my job easier."

Salman Khan looks up to Wanted for success

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is keeping his finger crossed for success of upcoming film Wanted. Produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Prabhu Deva, the film features Ayesha Takia Azmi opposite Salman Khan apart from actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Asseem Merchant.

Buzz up!"I have done lot of love stories, lot of comedies, many of them were not appreciated enough. In this film, I had the zest to work hard. I have done that. So, let's see if it works and if it doesn't," he said.

The film is about Radhe, played by Salman Khan, who is a hardcore gangster, a sharpshooter and works for a dreaded Mafia. He then finds love when the young and pretty Jhanvi, played by Ayesha Takia Azmi, professes her love for him.

Khan said the film is a combination of all the ingredients in good quantity and they all had to undergo good deal of training for it. "Our films are usually a combination of all things in small proportions. Little bit dance, little bit romance and little bit comedy. But this film has everything in huge proportions, so had to train hard," said Khan.

Khan has lent his voice to the title track of the film, composed by composer duo Sajid-Wajid. He had last sung for the film Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya in 1998.
